Bhutto was no saint but back when she was elected, years and years ago, it was a big deal and it still is. Not since has a woman been elected to a high post in an Islamic country. She wasn't perfect but she did give the Pakistani people some hope. I have a friend whom I met probably 9-10 years ago from Pakistan. He lived there during her tenure and said the country flourished and mostly people were pretty happy with her in government. This is sad and tragic.
