Yep, I can't stand V-day. It's the forced affection and gifts that say "earrings/chocolate/card/dinner out says I love you." Wake up. It most certainly doesn't. Cynic? maybe. Realist and a girl into the hardcore things in life that count like being there for someone EVERY SINGLE DAY, yes, that's me. Doing the things you don't want to do EVERY DAY but know that you still have to get up and do them is what counts in my book. Walk the talk and get up and do. I doubt Hallmark could ever capture that.

I have a friend who's extremely smart, talented and whom I've known for many, many years. We've lived in the same city twice now and he might be moving for a new job. For some reason I'm taking this quite hard though if things work out for him and he does move, I'll be so happy for him and celebrate this wonderful new adventure with a lot of joy.

I guess my feelings these days are really jumbled up and I wish I could do part of my life over again. I wish I had said some things and I never did. I've been told that like a warrior (leading the kitten army) I'm fairly aloof with my feelings and who I really am, and often I find out much later that things should have been said outloud instead of using all my energy to hide. I will get through this too.

***Did I mention that I put a site meter on my blog here. It tells me who and where the hits are coming from and how long people stay. It's pretty fun. So, in the first week I was on the air, Homeland Security paid me a visit. Yep, a hit from the pentagon. I think I've arrived.***
